Backflow prevention

Backflow prevention is a very important aspect of plumbing and fire safety servicing. The backflow devices are designed to do exactly that, prevent the backflow of water from inside any high-risk property that could potentially be harmful to health and contaminated and enter back into the drinking water supply.

The backflow devices are tested on new installation and maintained every year by law. Not just anyone can test a backflow device, this must be undertaken by a licence plumber who has completed four years of training, and additional advance courses to become licenced in water and backflow.

Places like factories, hospitals nursing homes, vets, school's science labs, and some houses, are fitted with a backflow device, and if you do not maintain your device and make sure its not in good working order, you could be liable and taken to court.
